Day 1 Nanjing
If you are interested, you may get up early in the morning. A local guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to see how local people do their morning exercises.
Today you will visit the Xuanwu Lake , Drum Tower and its square, Nanjing Museum , and Mochou Lake.
Lunch is served in a decent local restaurant.
In late afternoon, the local guide will accompany you to the Confucius Temple. It is the most famous place for night sightseeing in Nanjing.
After lingering for a while in the Confucius Temple, you will be transferred back to your Nanjing hotel.
- Xuanwu Lake : Located at the bottom of Zhongshan Hill, it covers 368 hectares of water area, and consists five islets, each owns different charm, Huaziyuan was built to commemorate the Sixth World Chinese Businessman Conference, Nanjing. It is the earliest and biggest comprehensive park of the city.
- Mochou Lake: There are Huayan Monastery, Shengqi Tower, Yujin Hall, Shanghe Hall, Guanghua Pavillion, water screen movie, etc., in the park, attains the fame of “the finest scenic relic of Nanjing”.
- Drum Tower : It stands in the center of the Nanjing, initially built in 1382 and composed of two parts, the pavilion and the platform. There are two big drums, 24 small drums and other ceremonial music instruments in the Drum Tower of Ming Dynasty, with the function of giving the correct time, greeting the Emperor and admitting the imperial decree. The tower once ruined. In Qing Dynasty, the tower and steles were rebuilt in the foundation bed of the drum tower, so the Drum Tower has a title of "the drum of Ming Dynasty and the stele of Qing Dynasty".
- Nanjing Museum : It is one of the museums that our country established first. The predecessor of Nanjing Museum was the preparatory department of the National Museum, which was established in 1933, under the purpose of Mr. Cai Yuanpei, who was the modern democratic scholar.- Hotel:
