Day 2 Hangzhou
After breakfast, begin today’s excursion by visiting the Red Carp Pond, the Six Harmonies Pagoda and then continue to visit the Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum . After that, make a tour to the famous West Lake .
-The Red Carp Pond is the heart of Viewing Fish at Flower Harbor Park (Huagang Guanyu), one of the ten places of interests at West Lake . Countless carps live and play in Red Carp Pond, fascinating thousands of tourists each year.
- Six Harmonies Pagoda : Located on the Yuelun Hill besides Qiantang River, Six Harmonies Pagoda was built by King of Wuyu to ward off Qiantang bore. As high as 59.89 meters, this grand pagoda has 7 sides and 8 stories. Looked down from the top, all Qiantang River beauty is bird viewed. Now near Six Harmonies Pagoda , a Garden of Chinese Ancient Pagodas with more than 100 pagodas and towers in various dynasties has been constructed to display Chinese pagoda culture integrated.
- Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum : The Hu Qing Yu Tang Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicines located at the foot of Wushan hill in Hangzhou.It is the only State-level professional one in China.Built on the foundation of a group of old buildings of Hu Qing Yu Tang Traditional Chinese Pharmaceutical Factory.The museum presents to visitors a style of antique architecture besides a treasury of traditional Chinese medical science and technology.
- West Lake : An old saying: “There is heaven above and Shu-Hang below.” West Lake is the most beautiful and famous place in Hangzhou. Hangzhou’s fame is largely due to the picturesque West Lake . Lying in the west of the city, and surrounded by hills on three sides, the West Lake is 3.2 kilometers from north to south and 2.8 kilometers from east to west with a circumference of 15 kilometers. Its water surface encompasses 5.8 square kilometers, while the islands on the lake occupy 6.3 square kilometers. Its average depth of water is 1.55 meters, the shallowest is less than one meter deep, and the deepest being about 2.8 meters.

Transfer to Ningbo by a soft seat train. Then check in the hotel for 1 night stay. After that, visit the Town God's Temple of Ningbo , the Tianfeng Pagoda and the Baoguo Monastery.
-The Town God's Temple of Ningbo , also called the Town God's Temple of Ningbo Prefecture, is situated downtown of Ningbo, near the Tienfeng Pagoda. The temple was built in 1371, at the order of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder and first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, in expectation of the good weather for the crops and the prosperity of the country.
-The Tianfeng Pagoda is situated in the centre of Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. With a height of about 51 meters (167 feet), this hexagonal building is a landmark and the tallest ancient structure in the city. It appears as a seven-storey tower with another seven stories underground and is renowned for its long history, architectural value and ancient artifacts.
- Baoguo Temple is a thousand-year-old renowned temple and one of the first cultural relic sites designated to be specially preserved in China. It is situated at the foot of Mount Feishilin in Jiangbei District of Ningbo City, thirteen kilometers away from the downtown. The Grand Hall in Baoguo Temple is one of the oldest and best-preserved wooden structures in South Yangtze region of China, invaluable to the nation's architectural studies.

Day 4 Ningbo
Putuo
Transfer to Putuo by the ferry and check in the hotel for 1 night stay. Have a Chinese lunch and then pay a visit to the Purple Bamboo Grove Scenic Area, the Puji Monastery and the Huiji Monastery
- Puji Monastery : Located at the center of the island, this is the most accessible and famous monastery on Putuoshan. Nearby are hotels, restaurants and interesting shops. A public ritual performed by the monks runs from 4:30AM to 7AM. It is crowded at this time, so unless you are interested in the ceremony, it best to visit the temple outside these hours.
- Huiji Monastery : Located near the top of Fodingshan. Entry fee 5 RMB, less than one dollar.
Active visitors and pilgrims can take the concrete steps from near Fayu Temple. It takes about 1 hour to climb the mountain. Even the lazy can reach the temple by cable car.

Day 5 Putuo
Shanghai
After breakfast, pay a visit to the Fayu Temple and the Thousand-Pace Golden Beach. Then transfer to Shanghai by the ferry and check in the hotel for 2 nights stay.

Visit the Shanghai Museum , the Yuyuan Garden , the Bund area and a local family. The farewell dinner is served at Wang Bao He Restaurant of Central Hotel, which is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. After dinner enjoy Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.
- Shanghai Museum used to be near the Bund. It is now situated in People's Square and its new buildings were built in 1996, designed by a Shanghai architect named Xing Tonghe. The new design symbolizes China's ancient understanding of the world: round sky and square earth. The museum has a circular roof and rectangular base. It stores 120,000 precious artifacts, which narrate a story of China's 5,000-year civilization.
-Yu Garden is one of the most famous gardens in China and is national heritage listed. It was built in 1559 and extended in 1577. Each section of the garden is separated by curved white walls crowned with the head and body of a dragon on them. It's named after the original owner.
- The Bund area is the best-known landmark in Shanghai. On this stretch of Zhongshan Road East lie the most important buildings left from colonial Shanghai including the Peace Hotel, the Bank of China, and Shanghai Gold Exchange. Externally these buildings have been well preserved and stand proud in their original grandeur. Internally they have been renovated to house some major financial institutions as well as Shanghai's most expensive and luxurious hotels, restaurants and bars.
