Day 1 Shanghai
The local guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby at about 9 am. Tour begins after greetings. This one-day sightseeing includes Jade Buddha Temple , Jing’an Temple, and Shanghai Confucian Temple. After covering all the sites hereinbefore, the guide will transfer you back to the hotel.
- Jade Buddha Temple : It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to S hanghai from Burma by sea. These were a sitting Buddha (1.95 metres tall, 3 tonnes), and a smaller reclining Buddha representing Buddha's death. The temple now also contains a much larger reclining Jade Buddha, donated from Singapore, and visitors may mistake this larger sculpture for the original, smaller piece.
- Jing’an Temple: Firstly built in 247 AD, Jing'an temple, is one of the three most ancient religious sites in Shanghai. It is famous for its delicious vegetarian food, among which noodles with vegetables are the most popular.
- Jiangnan Silk Museum : Silk industry has occupied great importance in China since thousands of years ago. Jiannan Silk Museum holds many elaborate silk products. Also you may see the procedure how silk is produced.
