Day 1 Lijiang
Our local guide will meet you in Lijiang. Then you will be accompanied to visit the Lion Hill and the Ancient City of Lijiang .
-Laojun Moutain: This is a very scenic place, the landscape here is very beautiful and has virtually been untouched by any urban development. This place covers an area of 2,340 square km and is approximately 93 km west of Lijiang City.
-The Ancient City: The ancient city of Lijiang is located at the foot of the snow-capped Yulong Mountains. The ancient city is formed of three separate ancient towns, namely, Baisha, Shuhe, and Dayan. Day 2 Lijiang
Continue to explore Lijiang with local guide. Today’s highlights: Mural in Baisha Village, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain , Yak Meadow and Ancient Naxi Music.
-The Mural in Baisha Village: Some 16 kilometers north of Lijiang City locates the Baisha Village. Many buildings there were built in Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a history of more than 300 years. That period was a era of ecomomic development in Lijiang. Many people from other places came to Lijiang, which resulted the multinational culture. Many murals were painted in some houses in Baisha Village. Nowadays they have been well preserved as cultural relics.
-Snow Mountain: Snow Mountain, the highest peaks of Yunnan, lies the north east of Diqing, 184 km. away from Zhongdian. At this place, there are 13 peaks which average elevations are over 6000 meters."Kawagebo" in Tibaten is the God of Snow Mountain where is the sacred place for Buddhists.
Ancient Naxi Music: called the Dongjing (Cave Sutra) music of Lijiang, is a combination of the quintessence of the ancient Naxi music with the Confucian and Daoist musical traditions of the Han people. It is considered a "living fossil of the ancient music of China".
Yak Meadow: Local people like to pasture their Yak on the meadow, hence the name. As a part of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain , it's a typical meadow scenery,a holy land for sightseeing and relaxation.
